How do you know if you would look good bald (for women)?

I was just wondering how I would look if I decided to shave my head? I've been told that I would look wierd if I were bald, but I hold my hair up all the time to make it look like I don't even have any hair on my head unless I turn to the side and people see the big clip holding up my back-long hair. How do you know if the bald look is right for you?
