How do we expect God to help us if we have taken him out of everything...?

the thing about this question is that it presupposes that god has human characteristics. isn't god supposed to be perfect: all good, all knowing, and all powerful? if god were perfect, everything would be his plan, he'd know that it would go wrong because he is "all knowing" and he'd have to help because he was "all good."
